About Us

NW Senior Resources was founded in June 2007 by Nancy Raske, an experienced senior advocate who has has worked in senior care in the Portland area for over 10 years. Nancy has been providing assistance to area families with the challenges of placing their loved ones into care homes, ranging from:

• Retirement communities
• Assisted living facilities
• Skilled nursing care
• In-home care providers
• Adult foster care homes
• Alzheimer's specialty programs

Additionally, she has an in-depth knowledge of the special needs of seniors themselves, as they cope with transitioning into care, which is often a difficult challenge for those with age-related dementia issues. This referral service will be provided at no cost to the seniors or their families. NW Senior Resources is contracted with several of the area health care corporations to assist them with the referral admissions process, which covers the cost of her services.

Nancy has also coordinated numerous community educational programs over the years to present information on the health care choices that seniors face. She draws from her personal and professional experiences, including serving as an Assistant Administrator, a grief counselor, and hospice volunteer. Nancy currently holds several area advisory board positions, including Oregon Gerontology Association, Senior Provider Information Network, and Lake Oswego Adult Community Center Meal Network.

Nancy is frequently sought out by area professionals for her recommendations on senior resources and problem-solving.
